Susan Baird is a licensed psychologist who has been providing psychological services to adults and adolescents since 1998.

Susan's primary areas of specialization are depression and anxiety including panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, and generalized anxiety. She also specializes in parenting stress, relationship difficulties, communication issues, challenges with life transitions, and post-partum stress and depression. Other areas of focus are attention and concentration, organization, and time management. She works with both adults and adolescents in individual therapy.

Susan's therapeutic approach emphasizes developing a warm, collaborative relationship with clients in order to establish clear goals. She focuses on helping clients evaluate the effectiveness of their current way of being, alter behavior patterns as needed to reach objectives, and move toward self and other acceptance and a life lived in accordance with their values. She uses a combination of change-oriented strategies including cognitive behavioral, problem solving, and communication effectiveness, as well as acceptance-based strategies such as emotional awareness, values clarification, and mindfulness. Susan has formal training in ACT, DBT, CBT, and mindfulness.
